New Work

Super Moon - 3.19.11

Less than a month living at my new Brooklyn address, and I'm already seeing friggen
Super Moons! Taken from our apartment window peering down Metropolitan Ave, the
Super Moon added a killer hue of pink to an already luminous polluted East Brooklyn.

Soul of Arizona - 12.12.10

Arizona-- every photographer's playground. Last month, four of us set out an
adventure exploring some of the state's most prominent sights. Of the five days we
were out there, one stood out far above the rest. We covered over 450 miles of
ground (thanks to our beastly Kia Soul), and managed to check three of Arizona's
most impressive landmarks off our "to do" list. Our first stop was Horseshoe Bend, just
South of Lake Powell in Page, AZ.

Our second stop was a site I had longed to see with my own eyes (preferably
looking through the lens of my camera). Just 10 miles away from Horseshoe Bend on
Najajo ground, the inside of Antelope Canyon was more amazing than I had ever
imagined. No matter how talented a photographer may be, no photograph could ever
do it just. I was only in there for 30 minutes, but could have easily spent a week
shooting every angle of this 1/4 mile long natural phenomenon.

A ghostly Beth Androski couldn't help but step in to one of my shots while the shutter
was open, to capture a picture of me in my element.

The Grand Canyon.. What can I say?  It was like seeing the ocean for the first time and
trying to comprehend it's monstrosity. We got there just as the sun was setting giving
the endless sight a cool purple feel under a warm pink sky.

Hard to believe that these shots were captured all within a matter of 6 hours...
I was there, and I still don't believe it.

Sedona's Cathedral - 12.11.10

Our first day in Sedona we set out to hike Cathedral Rock. Carrying two cameras and a
bulky tripod seemed like a really bad idea as we were climbing the steep red rock terrain.
Reaching the summit made it apparent that it was worth the effort and excess baggage.

 Flash Iron - 10.20.10

After wolfing down some unbelievable wood fired oven pizza, courtesy of master chef
Kenny Weinreich of Roberta's Pizza at the Madison Square Market, I strolled over to
the cross streets of 5th Ave & Broadway.  After a couple of tweaks to the shutter speed
and aperture, I walked away with this.

 Central Park - 10.15.10

Friday was an absolutely perfect autumn day in NYC.  Of the 800 pics I took in Central
Park that day, it was tough to pick only a handful of my favorites.

 Fracture - 7.19.10

On July 19, an extremely violent thunderstorm tore through Northern New Jersey
lighting up the sky with blinding bolts of lightning.  I was fortunate enough to
capture this shot from my front porch of mother nature in all of her fury.
